Copywriter/Content Strategist
Nancy
Nancy’s career has crisscrossed the fields of writing, marketing, and public policy, and she enjoys offering strategic leadership as well as actually doing the “wordsmithing.” Before joining Dragonfly, Nancy provided communications and branding vision for the State of Vermont as the chief marketing officer for state government. Prior to that role, she worked in the Vermont State House as the chief of staff for then-Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott, after leading the marketing efforts for his first successful campaign for statewide office.
As a writing practitioner, Nancy combines an appreciation for detail with an appreciation for larger strategy. She has written business-value case studies for technology companies, personal success stories for higher education organizations, and award-competition submissions that earned her clients national recognition.
She has a passion for clear, conversational writing that conveys authenticity and authority. Nancy particularly loves taking complex, jargon-heavy content and turning it into compelling stories that inform and inspire.
Nancy earned her bachelor’s degree in public policy from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs. She loves to challenge herself to learn new skills, which has led her to earn certifications in digital marketing and content marketing, and she’s currently taking an online French course so she can chat with the locals on her frequent trips to Montreal.
Nancy lives in northern Vermont with her husband, two daughters, and two cats.
