We’re pleased to share the news that Dr. James Catto has been appointed the new editor-in-chief of EU. No, not the European Union–European Urology, the official scientific journal of the European Association of Urology.
Here at Dragonfly, we’ve had the pleasure of editing every volume of European Urology for the past four years. We’ve read about exciting advances in treating a wide range of urological conditions–from prostate cancer and bladder cancer to incontinence, infections, and infertility. And we’ve had the great pleasure of working under Prof. Francesco Montorsi.
Prof. Montorsi is Professor of Urology at the Universita’ Vita Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Italy, and has been the editor-in-chief of EU since 2006. His guidance has transformed EU into the leading scientific publication in the field of urology, one read by more than 20,000 urologists across the globe and sporting an impact factor of 8.493.
Dr. Catto has been with European Urology since 2011, in the role of associate editor. Oh, and his day job? He’ll continue as a urology surgeon working in the Academic Urology Unit of the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield, UK.
Over the next year, Prof. Catto will be working closely with Dr. Montorsi as he transitions into his new role. Urologists worldwide (and our team of medical editors) will be wishing them both the very best of luck.
