Kaylin is an editor with over a decade of experience working with a variety of technical content. She strives to be an empathetic leader and is passionate about finding innovative solutions to editorial challenges.

Although Kaylin joined Dragonfly as editorial manager in 2023, her love for editing and writing began much earlier when her mother would present her with a box of dollar-store notebooks and pens every Christmas.

Kaylin graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in creative writing. During college, she developed her editing skills as a copy editor for the campus newspaper and as a writing consultant in the writing center, where she enjoyed helping students of all majors and skill levels navigate the writing process. Additionally, she interned in the campus folklore archives, assisting the department with digitizing its extensive collection of local legends, myths, and traditions.

After college, Kaylin worked at GP Strategies, a learning solutions company, for 11 years. During this time, she held various editorial roles, working with technical content for industries ranging from financial services to the military. Her favorite role was managing a small team of quality assurance editors, where she earned a reputation for her ability to streamline editorial processes and develop highly skilled editors. Kaylin’s exemplary job performance earned her GP’s Make a Difference Award twice during her tenure.

Kaylin is a member of ACES: The Society for Editing and Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society. She finds joy in bringing order to chaos, both in her work and personal life.

Kaylin lives with her partner Gary in Vincennes, IN, where they compete for the affections of their four rescue cats. When she’s not working, she’s usually tending to her notebook hoard, scribbling down mostly plotless short stories, or sneaking another coffee mug into her collection when her partner isn’t looking. On the weekends, you can find her behind her spinning wheel or with knitting needles in hand, accompanied by a cup of tea and a true crime podcast.
