Project Manager
Annie
Annie fell in love with publications management as an Irish studies grad student at the University of Notre Dame, where she served as the graduate assistant for “Bullán: An Irish Studies Journal.” She went on to serve as a journals copy editor at the University of Illinois Press, a production editor in both academic journals and books at Oxford University Press, and a managing editor for a health policy journal at Duke University Press. Having given academic publishing a whirl, she then pivoted to federal contracting work and served as an editor/writer and senior editor/writer for proposals, deliverables, and journal articles at RTI International for nine years. In 2017, Annie turned her attention to being the publishing editor for RTI’s scholarly publishing arm, RTI Press, handling everything from editorial/production management to peer review and client education to metadata/SEO strategy. After RTI Press implemented Annie’s metadata strategy, page views increased 95% and citations of publications increased 52%.
Having joined Dragonfly in 2025 as a contractor and in 2026 as a full-time Dragonfly, Annie provides project management services for editing, writing, and SciMed publications.
Annie lives in Durham, North Carolina, with her editor husband and two headstrong teenagers. When she’s not working, she enjoys reading fiction, cooking up a storm, and attending concerts.
